Brand Beckham to give PSG Football Shirt Sales a Boost?
Reports in the media are suggesting the nouveau-riche Ligue 1 side Paris St. Germain are so confident on landing a deal for LA Galaxy & England’s David Beckham, they have made a pre-order to Nike for 20,000 more PSG Football Shirts.
The claims of this massive order to Nike was first reported by French radio station RTL, coming after the French capital based side had a positive meeting with David Beckham’s advisors. Beckham has had two previous loan stints in Europe – but both to an adidas-approved AC Milan side. But it seems PSG are amongst the favourites to land that lucrative signature, and bring with it all the football shirt sales such a signing offers.
There is certain to be speculation over the decision on what number D-Beck will wear, as usual brand Beckham numbers of #7 and #23 are already taken at PSG. But the most likely option we reckon? Expect to see #32 like the second stint in Milan (see our mock’d up PSG shirt above)
Excuse us though if we file this one under “seems unlikely” as we’re sure the Herr-Meisters at adidas won’t be too happy with their top star being snapped in a swoosh kit…
